introduction to Industrial Design, getting to know the system

"Pleun is very well able to finish what he starts. [...]

Good first vision, above everage for a B11 student. [...]

Identity: one of the few B11 students who already understands what is expected here. [...]

...he is well aware of weaknesses...

Pleun appears to be motivated student, ambitious and hardworking.

                                                       J. Kortstra, assesor B1.1

B1.1, stood fully for introduction to Industrial Design. It was also getting used to living on my own and starting again after a gap-year. Getting used to the difference between highschool and university.

I think it was an really good semester. I had a good project where I worked hard, learned a lot, got to go through a whole design process and got an impression of what it takes to function within Industrial Design.

The assignments DG000 and DG590 DBP were both very usefull assignments and I enjoyed to do both of them. Especially the last one motivated me to use the knowledge learned more and do another assignment within the main competency.

The feedback I got upon my Assignment  Disruptive Business Processes and my project Bugged 2.0 were both positive and also my assesment feedback made me feel good about the semester.

My SDL was also really promising. I did a project together with a few senior years called Getikt. This project was exhibitioned on the Dutch Design Week.

Though, after all there was a downside to my first semester. I failed to pass my Calculus due to circumstances, which I will have to do next year. Also I didn't pass my Physics at once. Thats why I intented to focuss more on the Bachelor Course this semester.

"Pleun is a really honest student, wants to work hard and is very ambitious in the project, always took the lead in coach meetings to summarize the progression of the week. [...]

tried to get everything out of him self and knows his weak points. [...]

Really enthusiastic students who wants to learn as much as possible, but also is aware of his weak points, but is always motivated to work on that. [...]

Try to find the right dividing in work(time) between project, bachelor college and assignments."
